Algocademy

Inspiration

I originally took some time to understand these basic algorithms. I thought it would be very convenient for new-learners if they had access to a simple platform that guides them though these.

What it does

Algocademy is a prototype for a one-stop shop for basic algorithms. It incorporates demonstrations, puzzles, and AI-assisted learning to provide the smoothest experience for any beginners wishing to explore these topics.

How we built it

This project was fully vibe-coded on Google AI Studio.

Challenges we ran into

Amidst development, there were several instances where running a demonstration of an algorithm straight up froze the app. I had to unfortunately cut some corners as a result.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Very clear visualization in demonstrations showcasing the exact steps taken & interactive design in pathfinding algorithms allowing the user to properly grasp the traversal.

What we learned

Deeper understanding and discovery of many algorithms through research and development.

What's next for Algocademy

Expansion to nicher areas such as machine learning algorithms (e.g. gradient descent).
