Alexa Skill set for Travel

Inspiration

• Recently I started making Alexa skill sets and developed an interest in building skills for Alexa.
• As voice-enabled devices are future, every company would want to develop skill sets which are interesting for users.
• I viewed Expedia and kayak's Alexa skill which motivated me to come up with an idea for delta

What it should do

• it has various skills -eg. booking ticket, given budget
  • view reservation etc

How we built it

using AWS lambda, Node.JS, Alexa skill Kit

Challenges we ran into

• reduced team size
• time constraint
• lack of knowledge about AWS lambda took longer to create small functionality

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• learnt about postman api toolchain
• learnt more about aws lambda function
• could create a basic interactive skill

What we learned

What's next for Alexa Skillset for Travel

complete the implementation that we started have a functionality for booking tickets given an amount
