Michigan's unreliable weather deceives us in picking clothes for the day.
What it does
Sets your preferences for the clothes in your wardrobe, and suggests to you what to wear based on temperature, chance of precipitation and cloud cover
How I built it
We used the amazon Alexa skills kit, amazon web services, and dynamo DB to interface our logic with the echo. We interfaced the forecast.io API to get weather info to interface in our javascript files.
Challenges I ran into
Interfacing the forecast API with javascript and reading the responses was the most difficult part.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Working as a team on the programming, and being able to finish everything we planned.
What I learned
We learned how to use AWS, javascript, how to create awesome skills for Alexa.
What's next for Alexa Fashion Buddy
We would like to add personalized clothing with characteristics such as color and brand for each article you add to the wardrobe as unique identifiers.
