Inspiration

we wanted to doing something for an alexa device and had no idea what that entailed so we went with blackjack to learn a new skill

we didnt know how to use the system at first, and dont have much experence with block based programing, so basicaly everything

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

there is no part that was expecialy harder then the other parts

What I learned

how to use voice flow and how alexa apps are built

What's next for alexa blackjack

we thought about making an enire app with many games with black jack being only one of them, these would include connect 4, poker, solitare, cheackers, and even chess.

mainly worked the values of the hend and the cards and having alexa say the correct value and suit naturally. also worked on saying all of the cards in both hands in one statement instead of many.

Andrew Hanlin
I assisted with a big chunk of the JavaScript code. I implemented the deck as a random number generator that would never repeat a number. I helped my teammates by making sure everyone had something they were working on and keeping track of what we needed to implement. I assisted them in a big part of the logic needed implement the design and features of the program. And I assisted in debugging process, finding errors and solutions to better the code.

Colden Miller
I assisted with programming the way the hands were dealt out to the dealer, I made sure there were prompts from Alexa in proper places, such as the hit or stay section of blackjack, I uploaded the program to Alexa, set it up, and tested it to make sure it was working the way we wanted it to work. I also worked on debugging some of the errors that came up, throughout the process. I didn't do that big a chunk of coding, but I assisted all of my teammates with talking through the process and ideas of how we could move forward in making the game, as well as testing the Voiceflow software to better understand it.
