AlertApp- Get Rapid Response

Inspiration

One a family got stuck at motorway on alone road while the car Tyre burst and need to change. Once an old man had an accident and his family was unaware of that. Once a biker on road need ambulance and nobody was helping him. So there is a dire need of a Social platform to get instant help for vulnerable people.

We addressed general public safety especially women and girls. After the motorway incident women faced a lot of restrictions in terms of mobility alone which not only affected their daily life but also spread fear & panic in the society.

What it does

Notify / inform your loved ones via SMS / whatsapp (under development) and emergency services like 15, 130 and 1122 in case of trouble. Just on a button click this app will share your geo location and type of trouble you selected through your mobile network (even via edge technology).

In case of severe injury if a person just tap the app icon, a general emergency message will be sent to the selected contacts within seconds.

You just need to login and setup the account like add your details, to add the contact numbers of father / brother and rest will be done automatically. In case of accident Rescue 1122 / 15 or hospitals will be notified. In case of general help motorway or police or related public departments will be notified.

Prominent features are:

App has customized messages like Medical Help, App will send notification to added contacts plus 1122. Motorway Help, App will send notification to added contacts plus130 and other emergencies, App will send notification to added contacts plus 15.
Once the notification is sent, affected person get in app help like If medical help app will suggest some quick remedies / first aid. If Motorway help app will suggest some quick remedies to fix the issue.

How we built it

A long struggle of hit and try with Flutter and Firebase. Some features are under discussion and development.

Challenges we ran into

UI and development. Flutter is an amazing for app development. We build for both android and iOS user. We studied already in market solutions like amber app , Hollaback and SOS working abroad. Currently in Pakistan no such application for Rapid Response is available and neither an individual can guarantee the personal safety at such a huge level. So we need proper integration of emergency services to ensure that vulnerable person would get help in time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learned flutter and build an app for civic service. Met mentors who could help us in connecting with the desired institutes.

What we learned

We learned how to code flutter and firebase. How to present and get in touch with the government infra structure to ensure personal safety outside your homes.
