Inspiration
Recently there have been many changes in the weather, and in our busy lives we sometimes tend to not follow weather updates. This could be very dangerous if we do not find a way to notify everybody of weather updates.
What it does
It takes the zip code location as input and the preference of percent precipitation. It then returns if the amount of snowfall and precipitation people can expect at a certain time in the form of text alert.
How I built it
We used android studio to build it.
Challenges I ran into
I ran into a challenge of parsing data through APIs and JSON objects
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are glad we Minimum viable product in the restriction of 36 hours.
What I learned
I learnt alot about android studio, parsing data through Google APIs, and also working in a team.
What's next for ALERT ME
We don't just wanna limit it to alerts of notifying potential weather changes that can harm people, but also suggestions that can help them face these kind of situations in a better way.
