Alas de Papel (Paper Wings)

Inspiration

Alas de Papel was inspired by the idea that fragile things, like paper, can carry powerful stories when given wings. The film reflects resilience, imagination, and the way culture and memory can transcend time.

What I Learned

I learned how to merge the precision of traditional CGI and DCC tools with the creative possibilities of AI. This process showed me that innovation is not just about adopting new technologies, but about using them with purpose — to tell stories that matter.

How I Built It

The project was developed through a hybrid pipeline: traditional CGI and DCC workflows blended with generative AI. By combining these methods, I could experiment visually while maintaining artistic direction and narrative intention.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was achieving a balance between human craftsmanship and AI-driven outputs. AI often produced unexpected results, requiring patience, iteration, and creative problem-solving. In the end, those challenges became opportunities to refine the story’s purpose and strengthen the message.
