Ak Turing-Alexa+voice tutor for students in India

Inspiration
In India, many students in small towns cannot afford high-cost tuition. I created AK Tuition app to provide free education. Now with Amazon Alexa+, I wanted to make learning hands-free. A student can just say "Alexa, teach me Maths" and learn while cooking, walking, or without a screen.
What it does
AK Tuition - AI Powered Learning Assistant is an Alexa+ Skill + Mobile App.
- Student says: "Alexa, open AK Tuition"
- Alexa asks which subject: Maths, Science, English
- Alexa teaches the topic with voice, gives quizzes, and explains doubts.
- The skill syncs with my AK Tuition Android app made with AppsGeyser.
- It uses Alexa+ conversational AI to understand natural language like a real teacher.
How we built it
- Alexa Developer Console for Alexa+ Skill
- Alexa Conversational AI and APL for voice interaction
- Amazon Lambda for backend logic
- AK Tuition Android app (published on Google Play) as companion app
- Voice flow designed with Alexa Skill Kit (ASK)
Challenges we ran into
I am not a professional coder. Learning Alexa+ documentation was challenging. Making voice sound like a real tuition teacher and handling Hindi + English mix was difficult.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I built a working Alexa+ skill that connects my real published app AK Tuition to Amazon's ecosystem. A rural student with just an Echo device can now study.
What we learned
We learned how powerful Alexa+ is for education. Voice-first learning is the future for accessibility in India.
What's next for AK Tuition
We will add full syllabus for Class 5 to 12, add Gujarati and Hindi language support in Alexa+, and add personalized AI doubt solving using Amazon Bedrock.
