AK Megaslots

Inspiration

A game that every group member loved to play was Blackjack. We all wanted to add a twist to the classic game of Blackjack, which was adding the lightning fast transaction speed. All of us also enjoy game development so we knew that this was something we had to do.

What it does

Utilizing the lightning network, you are able to play blackjack and even stake money to win. Players are able to stake real money while using cutting-edge blockchain technology.

How we built it

We built it using Unity, Polar, and the Lightning Network Daemon (LND).

Challenges we ran into

Using Unity and LND was a challenge for us. There's a lot of different functions in Unity and knowing how each element worked with each other was a big struggle. Additionally, the LND was something that was still relatively new to us, so this provided a valuable learning experience for us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our implementation of the game and the way it handles in gameplay. We also think that the game looks simple and minimalistic, which was the aesthetic we were going for.

What we learned

We learned how to use the lightning network to power transactions.

What's next for AK Megaslots

AK Megaslots is more than a project! There is more to come for this exciting franchise. We plan on adding more games to play such as poker, baccarat, and roulette. We also plan to include more feature such as slotmachines and even a multiplayer function.
