Aiye: The Planetary Operating Room

The Inspiration

We are suffering from Climate Apathy. Global warming is a spreadsheet of abstract numbers - CO2 parts per million and 1.5°C targets; that the human brain isn't wired to feel. We realized that while people can ignore a map, they cannot ignore a heartbeat.

Aiye was built on one radical principle: The Earth is You. By mapping real-time satellite telemetry onto a 3D human anatomy, we move the crisis from the atmosphere into our own lungs, veins, and skin. We don’t want to "save the world";we want to perform the surgery to keep it alive.

How We Built It

Aiye is a Marathon Agent built within Google Antigravity, designed to orchestrate planetary vitals through the Gemini 3 Pro reasoning core.

  • Stateful Reasoning (Thought Signatures): We leverage Gemini 3’s Thought Signatures to maintain "medical continuity." When a user begins a reforestation "surgery," the agent preserves its reasoning state across multi-step tool calls, ensuring the diagnosis in the Lab is perfectly synchronized with the intervention in the Surgical Theatre.
  • The Diagnostic Core: Using Gemini 3 Flash, we built a Failover Diagnostic Adapter. When legacy NASA endpoints went dark during the 2026 "Web Unification" migration, our agent autonomously re-routed planetary vitals to the Copernicus Data Space to ensure the patient's pulse never flatlined.
  • Multimodal Audit (Nano Banana Pro): We use Nano Banana Pro for Creative Autopilot. The AI generates high-resolution "Surgical Blueprints," visualizing reforestation paths directly onto the 3D model with 2K precision.
  • Verification Loop: Using Gemini 3’s vision core, Aiye audits "Post-Op" satellite imagery. The "Patient" (the 3D model) only "heals" once the AI verifies physical, real-world impact.

Challenges We Faced

  • The 2026 "Data Blackout": Our biggest hurdle was the total instability of legacy climate APIs. During development, we found that many "standard" NASA and Global Forest Watch endpoints had been retired, moved behind new paywalls, or were serving "ghost data"—abandoned datasets with no current relevance. This caused a massive Syncing Crisis where the 3D model’s pulse would lag or flatline because the source data was non-existent.
  • Engineering the Failover: To fix the "Sync" nightmare, we built a Dynamic Diagnostic Adapter. Instead of relying on a single, broken source, we used Gemini 3 to autonomously verify the "freshness" of data. If a NASA endpoint returned a 404 or outdated 2025 timestamps, our system used Marathon Agent reasoning to pivot mid-stream to the Copernicus Data Space or Sentinel Hub.
  • The Latency War: Reconciling high-resolution satellite imagery with a real-time 3D anatomy was a "Sync" war. We had to optimize our data pipeline to ensure that a "Pulmonary" flare-up in the UI happened at the exact second the data was ingested, preventing the "Scary Mess" of laggy, uncoordinated visuals.

What We Learned

We learned that AI is the ultimate empathy bridge. Gemini 3 allowed us to transform "cold data" into "warm narrative." We discovered that when the stakes are framed as a life-or-death medical emergency, user engagement shifts from passive observation to active "surgery."

The Impact

Aiye moves us from awareness to intervention. By turning abstract ESG goals into verified, crowdfunded "Vials," we’ve created a circular economy of healing.

$$\text{Global Homeostasis} = \frac{\sum (\text{Verified Vials} \times \text{AI Confidence})}{\text{Total Stress Index}}$$

The patient is prepped. Are you a Surgeon or a Spectator?

The Aiye Roadmap: From Simulation to Global Surgery

Phase 1: The Proof of Impact (PoI) Loop (Q2 2026)

Our immediate focus is refining the "Surgical Verification" pipeline. We are moving beyond simple data visualization to a robust escrow-and-audit system:

  • NGO Integration: Onboarding verified local conservation teams as "Field Medics."
  • Evidence Auditing: Training Gemini 3 Multimodal Vision to perform "Surgical Audits" on high-res drone and mobile footage uploaded by field teams to verify physical impact before releasing funds.

Phase 2: "Planetary First Aid" & Local Participation (Q3 2026)

We believe climate action should be as local as it is global.

  • Citizen Surgeons: Launching a feature that pings users when they are physically near an "Organ Symptom" (e.g., a local polluted waterway).
  • Physical Missions: Users can perform "First Aid" tasks—like local waste collection or sapling protection—and upload photo evidence to earn Surgical XP and improve the "Local Homeostasis" of their actual neighborhood.

Phase 3: Collaborative Surgery & XR (Q4 2026)

Scaling the experience to be truly immersive and collaborative:

  • Global Teams: Enabling Gemini Live sessions where users from different continents must voice-coordinate a "Major Procedure" (e.g., cross-border wildlife corridor protection).
  • Spatial Surgery: Launching an Apple Vision Pro / Meta Quest 3 experience to allow users to walk through the "Atmospheric Lungs" and see the data pulse around them.

Phase 4: The Aiye B2B Protocol

Moving into enterprise-scale impact:

  • ESG Biopsy: Offering corporations a "Systemic Health Audit" of their supply chains.
  • Open Surgery API: Providing our Gemini-powered verification engine as an API for other green-tech startups, making Aiye the global standard for Verified Environmental Action.

Gemini Integration: The Systemic Reasoning Core

Aiye utilizes the Gemini 3 Pro family not as a chatbot, but as a Marathon Agent that orchestrates the entire "Planetary Surgery" pipeline.

  1. Systemic Reasoning & Diagnosis: We leverage Gemini 3 Pro’s reasoning to ingest real-time, multi-dimensional climate telemetry (from NASA/Copernicus). The model acts as a "Biological Translator," diagnosing abstract ecological flux as visceral medical symptoms using the High Thinking Level parameter to ensure scientific accuracy.
  2. Continuity via Thought Signatures: To handle the "Action Era" requirement, we implement Thought Signatures. This allows the agent to maintain surgical context across long-running tool calls - from the initial "biopsy" of a region to the final funding verification; ensuring a stateful, persistent medical record for the planet.
  3. Multimodal Verification (Vision): Gemini 3’s multimodal core is central to our Proof of Impact (PoI) loop. It performs "Surgical Audits" by analyzing "Before/After" satellite imagery and NGO field photos to verify physical restoration before triggering the visual "healing" of the 3D anatomical model.
  4. Resilient Orchestration: We use Gemini 3 to autonomously manage our Failover Diagnostic Adapter, reasoning through API instability to ensure the 3D model’s pulse remains synced even when primary data sources fluctuate.
