Inspiration

My inspiration came from a simple problem: finding information in a large number of scanned documents takes too much time.

We thought, “If AI can understand the document, why should we search everything manually?”

That idea led us to build AIXIS-AI — to make document searching and organization faster and easier.

What it does

AIXIS-AI takes scanned documents, reads and extracts their important information, and makes them easier to organize and search.

Instead of manually opening many documents, I can upload them and quickly find the information I need.

I built the project myself to solve this simple but practical problem using AI.

How we built it

I built AIXIS-AI step by step, starting with document scanning and text extraction. Then I added AI to understand the extracted content and identify useful information.

After that, I connected the backend and frontend so users could upload documents, view the results, organize them, and search for information easily.

I tested the system with different types of documents and improved it based on the problems I found during testing.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was getting useful information from different types of scanned documents, especially when the quality or format was different.

I also faced issues with OCR accuracy, connecting the AI with the application, and making the results reliable.

Since I built the project alone, debugging and testing every part myself was also challenging. But solving these problems helped me improve the project step by step.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud that I was able to build AIXIS-AI completely by myself, from the initial idea to the working prototype.

The biggest achievement for me is turning a simple document-search problem into a working AI-based solution that I can actually demonstrate and use.

What we learned

Building AIXIS-AI taught me that creating a project is not just about writing code. I learned how to connect different technologies, handle real-world problems, debug errors, and improve the system through testing.

Most importantly, I learned how to take a simple idea and turn it into a working product by myself.

What's next for Aixis

Next, I want to make AIXIS-AI more accurate and reliable with different document formats and improve its search and organization features.

I also want to make it faster and easier to use in real-world office and government workflows.
