Many people have stories worth telling — but not everyone can draw. AIUTHOR bridges that gap by transforming any written story into a webtoon-style comic series, no artistic skill required.

What it does

AIUTHOR lets users input any story or daily experience, choose a genre (Slice of Life, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Fantasy) and art style (Pastel, Dark, Warm, Cyberpunk), then generates a vertical webtoon comic strip. The most unique feature is the continuity engine — every new chapter automatically connects to previous ones, so characters and narrative threads carry over across sessions, building into a full comic volume over time.

How I built it

Built entirely with MeDo using a detailed master prompt. MeDo scaffolded the full-stack app complete with Supabase authentication, Kling AI image generation, story continuity logic, and PDF export — without writing a single line of code manually.

Challenges

Getting consistent webtoon-style artwork from the Kling image generation API required extensive prompt engineering — balancing scene composition, art style, and narrative context across 4 panels per chapter.
