About the Project

Inspiration

Artificial intelligence offers powerful capabilities for research, content creation, document processing, coding, and business productivity. However, users often need to switch between multiple tools to complete everyday tasks. We built AISA™ to make these capabilities more accessible through a unified AI platform.

Our vision is to simplify how individuals and businesses use AI by bringing multiple practical capabilities into one application instead of requiring users to navigate separate tools for every task.

What We Built

AISA™ is a multi-capability AI Super Assistant available on web, Android, and iOS. It integrates AI models and APIs with UWO’s proprietary application architecture and workflows to provide a unified user experience.

Key capabilities include:

Intelligent search: Tools for deep research and real-time information discovery.

Business AI: AI-powered tools for business-oriented tasks, including AI Legal™, AI Cashflow™, and AI Ads.

Content and creative AI: Capabilities for generating and editing images and creating other forms of content.

Document productivity: Tools that help users work with and convert documents.

Coding assistance: AI-powered support for writing and working with code.

Rather than developing a foundation model from scratch, AISA focuses on integrating AI capabilities into a practical application experience designed around real user needs.

How We Built It

AISA combines third-party AI model APIs, including OpenAI and Google Vertex AI, with UWO’s application architecture, integrations, and workflow design. Our approach focuses on connecting different AI capabilities within one product experience and making them accessible through a common platform.

The project builds on UWO’s experience in software development, AI integration, and workflow engineering. AISA is already available as a live product, allowing us to develop around practical usage rather than a purely theoretical prototype.

Challenges We Faced

One of our main challenges has been bringing different AI capabilities together while maintaining a consistent user experience. Different tasks require different models, inputs, outputs, and workflows. Integrating these capabilities into one platform requires careful application design, API integration, and ongoing product improvement.

Another challenge is making advanced AI functionality useful and accessible to users with different technical backgrounds. We continue to refine the experience around usability, reliability, and practical productivity.

What We Learned and What's Next

Building AISA has reinforced the importance of designing AI products around user workflows rather than treating individual AI capabilities as isolated features. A useful AI platform must do more than connect to models: it must make those capabilities easy to discover, access, and apply to real tasks.

Our next steps are to improve workflow integration, product reliability, and scalability while exploring opportunities to optimize AI infrastructure and performance. We aim to make AISA an increasingly useful platform for individuals, professionals, and businesses adopting AI in their daily work.
