Songs connect people. AIrst redefines that connection to bring people closer together than ever before. Too close just got redefined.
What it does
Uses an image of a person to find a celebrity look alike and plays their most popular song.
How we built it
Sheer willpower and a Multi-task Cascaded Convolutional Network in python to find the most similar match between a user and a celebrity. The application is web-based using Flask.
Challenges we ran into
Finding the most recognizable parts of songs to play was difficult. Getting the AI to work took time as well. Lastly, resisting the urge to dance every time a song was played.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Different members of the team learned back-end web development, artificial intelligence, and databases to set the world a flame with song.
