Inspiration
The main reason for inspiration was to know how the website like Make My Trip , Goibibo works and how they manage the customer details, flight details and ticket booking details in such a perfect manner where no clashes takes place between customer while booking their seats. So this was a motivation for me and finally I made software which keeps track of all the details.
What it does
Firstly the user has to signup and then login through that id and password and then the booking process start in which first customer mention its details which will be stored in database , then further it will be carried on to selecting the flight details by selecting origin and destination, the seat will be booked for the customer and also this software allows the customer to book n number of tickets from one email id. and then finally the payment part will be shown after successful payment seat will be booked.
How we built it
I made use of NetBeans IDE java in which we can do frontend part using GUI tools and backend part using java language and then for storing details I made use of MySQL database
Challenges I ran into
It is a challenging task to complete the project by working alone and also main the connectivity part between NetBeans and MySQL was challenging as value will be entered in MySQL and details will be stored in MySQL Database.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
This software is working perfectly in every manner like storing details, decreasing number of seats after a successful registration , if seats gets filled the flight details will not appear every coding part was managed perfectly.
What I learned
Main thing I learnt is Time Management , because made this complete project just within 3 days was a best moment and what part I decided to work on I accomplished all that thing and learnt the connectivity part between NetBeans and MySQL..
What's next for Airline Management System
I will give more feature like giving discount based on the coupon code generated after the first registration and then many offers , make more attractive to attract customers and will enter more flights details and works on many other innovative features.
