To be honest i never had a pasion about aviation ,As you all know that in june a Airline has crashed in ahmedabad this had litrally kept a sad remark ,i thought of what can be done to prevent this happen again in futue also i was curios about how this event has occured so then I built a web-based Density Altitude Calculator to help pilots and enthusiasts understand the critical role of air density in safe takeoffs. Aircraft operating at high altitudes, in hot or humid conditions, often suffer reduced lift, engine power, and increased takeoff distances due to decreased air density. Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and hosted on GitHub Pages, my tool calculates air density using the Ideal Gas Law DA=PA+120×(OAT−ISA Temp). I learned a lot about aviation physics, JavaScript logic structuring, responsive UI design, and GitHub deployment. One major challenge was implementing accurate unit conversions and balancing theoretical formulas with real-world approximations. Future plans include integrating live weather data, FAA aircraft specs, and generating takeoff performance graphs. Overall, this project merges science, safety, and software to create a simple yet powerful tool for pilots, students, and educators in the aviation domain.
