There is always a hustle to trying to find good flights to fit your schedule. Trying to figure out with different timezones and changing tabs with your calendar is not always easy. In business world Microsoft's Outlook calendar is industry standard. And they are changing all they calendar moving in to the cloud.

What it does

It does connect your calendar to the app and then it helps you find best flights to destination without calculating different timezones etc.

How I built it

I used node.js to connect calendar data to the app. In app I am using javascript and Angular library to show web pages. I retrieve flight data from xapix thought http request. Then I'm matching calendar data and flight data.

Challenges I ran into

I haven't done any Angular on node.js development before so I had to learn all that. There were quite lot of connection problems with xapix also. Also I couldn't change a date for availabilities in xapix query, so I can't change a date for a search.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

To get product submitted done with technologies that I haven't used before.

What I learned

Lot of web development stuff and working with rest queries.

What's next for AirBerlin CalendarBooking

It would nice to get change date for availabilities. Also fix some bugs with day changes on flight time. Also linking straight to buying tickets from flights could be implemented.
