Inspiration
We wanted something which could enhance the customer experience such that passenger has a hassle free automated system in front of him.
What it does
• No sooner does the person book a flight than a reminder is set in the app which gives notifications on the day of the scheduled flight and gives options for traveling to the airport. • An Aadhar linked QR code is generated at the time of ticket booking which is scanned at the airport. Check-in is carried out using biometric verification. • Occasional notifications pop up which provide information regarding the flights ETA and delays, if any. • Notifies the user to take out power bank(s) from the luggage before getting it scanned. • The baggage is weighed, and if it exceeds the specified weight, the user isn’t allowed to proceed until he pays the amount required. • Predicts the least crowded queue to speed up the security check process. • Notifies the user about boarding time, flight number and gate number along with directions to it. • Offers medical assistance on board from a database of common ailments that might be as a consequence of flying. • On landing, notifies the user about the conveyor belt number. The luggage is tracked in the app so that the user knows exactly where his/her luggage is. • Offers aid for transport from the airport to the desired destination. Gives an option of booking various cabs available in that region and the bus routes with different timings.

Challenges we ran into
Couldn't configure push notification services by Firebase Couldn't communicate between mobile application and node server Couldn't implement Crowd sourcing and Baggage tracking system (Though, we do have the product design ready)

We communicated well as a team and it was a great learning experience We could successfully set-up the database and the communication between it and the server

What's next for AirAssist
We plan to deploy the entire application as a form of ChatBot Another aspect of improvement is providing in-flight entertainment
