Inspiration:

The idea was to utilize augmented reality to minimize the touching of the flight safety manual and provide an alternative for the COVID-cautious folks to still have the ability to view the flight safety manual without the need of actually touching it. Not only does it help minimize the spread of germs, but it also makes the safety manual convenient, memorable, and interactive.

What it does:

AiR Safety uses AR to make the flight safety manual packet convenient, memorable, and interactive while minimizing the risk of exposure through transmission by touching for those that still choose to use the physical copy of the material.

How we built it:

echoAR

Challenges we ran into:

The learning curve for Echo AR was very steep since it was our first time interacting with this technology and limited time. We had a particular problem with sizing in Echo AR and the positioning of multiple objects while using apple products, our way around this was to record each object individually.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

Building this in the span of a weekend with new friends. We managed to learn a new technology within five hours and successfully collaborated as a team, to debug and overcome the obstacles that we encountered resulting in a solid prototype.
