Air Quality Index Web App

Inspiration

Air pollution is a persisting issue in the world around us, so we wanted to create an application to display information about the air quality index and pollutants in a city.

What it does

The application has forms to enter the latitude and longitude of a city and displays the current air quality index (AQI) and the pollutants present in that city.

How we built it

We split the job into 3 different tasks: Charan worked on displaying the graph, Aidan worked on the front-end interface, and Mihika worked on getting information about each city from the API.

Challenges we ran into

We were unable to load our main image, and eventually realized that the image file needed to be in the scripts folder rather than at the root of the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud with the way our information was displayed.

What we learned

We learned more about the express and Bootstrap frameworks, and learned more about recovering changes from GitHub.

What's next for Air Quality Index Web App

Creating some sort of graph to compare pollutant amounts between cities.
