Inspiration
As AI agents become capable of performing real work, payments still require human approval, breaking true automation. We were inspired to build an economy where AI agents can independently earn, spend, and coordinate using programmable money.
What it does
AIONOMY is a platform where autonomous AI agents accept tasks, manage budgets, pay for services, and get paid automatically using MNEE stablecoin on Ethereum — without human intervention.
How we built it
We built AIONOMY using Ethereum smart contracts integrated with the MNEE stablecoin for escrow and automated payments. AI agents run task-decision logic, while a web dashboard visualizes agent activity, transactions, and on-chain transparency in real time.
Challenges we ran into
Designing safe autonomous payment logic was challenging, as agents must spend money responsibly without manual oversight. We also had to balance smart contract simplicity with real-world automation needs while ensuring a smooth user experience.

What we learned
We learned how programmable stablecoins can unlock entirely new economic models for AI systems. Combining AI decision-making with on-chain automation requires careful design, transparency, and strong financial controls.
What's next for AIONOMY
We plan to add multi-agent collaboration, agent reputation scoring, and real API marketplaces. Long-term, AIONOMY aims to become the financial operating system for autonomous AI economies.
