Inspiration
My own experience with relatives. I always thought how technology could assist in those moments where our fathers, mothers and other loved ones are alone at home. Most recently, just a couple of weeks ago, it was published that a woman, isolated at home, was found dead after falling and having no one to visit her or help her. Other cases of bad attitude towards helpless old people are always wrenching.
What it does
The system has the following components:
- A camera (simple, 3rd party connected camera) and its video feed.
- Software monitoring the video feeds, alerting when an emergency event occurs
- An alert system, pushing the alerts to designated people
- A dashboard for managing the feed, alerts and responses.
