Inspiration

Our main inspiration came from our own experiences after NS looking for part-time jobs before university. We often found ourselves spending a lot of time comparing offers or trying to check if a contract was legitimate. The lack of contract literacy for ourselves and among our friends motivated us to build a tool that could simplify and streamline this process.

What it does

We created AInalyse, an AI-powered platform that scans and reviews job contracts, helping users make informed decisions when considering job opportunities. Users can upload a contract or compare multiple offers, and AInalyse highlights key terms, risks, and inconsistencies in plain language.

How we built it

We chose a composite microservice architecture to enhance scalability and allow for independent development. Each atomic service handles specific tasks such as contract parsing or comparison logic to pass on to our composite services

Challenges we ran into

Our team struggled with schedule mismatches, which made collaborative discussion difficult. None of us had prior experience with Huawei Cloud, so learning and integrating their ecosystem was a steep learning curve.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successful deployment within the time frame of a working prototype despite our lack of familiarity with Huawei Cloud Narrowed the interface down to a user friendly and simple design that helps simplify legal jargon and presents it neatly Created a meaningful solution that we feel is able to address real problems faced by people like us (Students or pre-uni students) who are looking for part time work but are overwhelmed by the legal jargon in contracts

What we learned

Through this project, we gained valuable experience in cloud-based deployment, microservice design, and natural language processing for legal documents. We gained alot of practical experience in planning development and managing expectations. We also improved our teamwork and project planning skills under real-world constraints.

What's next for AInalyse

Enhanced accuracy for contract interpretation by using legal language models Multilingual support for international users Risk Scoring system to quantify the "red flags" in a contract and simplify the decision process for users Add a mobile platform to improve accessibility Seek partnership with common job posting sites or even universities to help screen career support platform, especially our comparison function to help appliers decided between offers
