Inspiration
I wanted to explore the idea that life isn’t yours if you live for other people’s expectations. Think Banksy but for music—“Ain’t Your Doormat” celebrates the glitch, the weird, the outcast—anyone refusing to conform. My goal was to create a visual and musical experience that feels like a manifesto for freedom in an alt, experimental world.
What it does
The music video blends experimental alt visuals with glitch aesthetics, creating a surreal, immersive experience. It encourages viewers to speak up, stand out, and embrace their unique chaos, rejecting conformity in every frame.
How I built it
Higgsfield Recreate for generating images
Suno for creating the song
Higgsfield Transitions App and Grok to animate sequences
CapCut to edit and assemble the final video
Challenges I ran into
Achieving consistency in the surreal, glitch-heavy visual style across all scenes
Synchronizing experimental sound design with dynamic visual transitions
Balancing narrative coherence with abstract, non-linear storytelling
Accomplishments I’m proud of
Maintaining a cohesive visual and thematic style despite complex tools and processes
Creating a fully realized alt-glitch world that feels immersive and rebellious
Successfully merging AI-generated visuals, music, and animation into a single artistic vision
What I learned
Experimental tools can unlock new creative possibilities, but require careful iteration to maintain consistency
A strong conceptual vision is essential to tie together disparate AI-generated content
Glitch aesthetics and surreal storytelling can convey powerful emotional and social messages
What’s next for Ain’t Your Doormat | Alt Society | Glitch | Music Video
Expand the world with more animated sequences and experimental alt music
Explore interactive or immersive formats to let viewers experience the glitch personally
Continue pushing boundaries of AI-assisted animation, music, and visual storytelling
