Inspiration

When we graduated or transitioned into new industries, we felt uncertain and overwhelmed by the sheer number of career paths available. We struggled to identify which roles truly matched our skills and passions and wished there was a comprehensive, easy-to-use resource that could guide us through these critical decisions. We envisioned creating a central hub to resolve career uncertainties, help individuals discover their genuine interests, and boost their confidence through practical preparation.

What it does

AImpress is an AI-powered career coaching platform that allows users to upload their CV and input their personality type. The tool analyzes this information to recommend relevant and exciting career paths tailored specifically to the user. It provides access to real-time job openings and simulates a realistic "day-in-the-life" scenario for various roles. Additionally, AImpress offers interactive mock interview sessions through AI-driven conversations, enabling users to gain confidence and refine their interviewing skills.

How we built it

We leveraged Large Language Models (LLMs) and integrated ElevenLabs for high-quality interactive conversations. Our frontend was built with a user-friendly, web-based interface to ensure seamless user experiences.

Challenges we ran into

Our primary challenge has been integrating fully interactive, realistic AI-driven conversations. We aim to enhance this feature further to offer users an even more engaging and valuable experience.

We're proud to have built a comprehensive, one-stop platform that meets the core needs of job seekers and career changers. AImpress provides essential tools and guidance, significantly easing career-related decisions and preparations.

What we learned

Building AImpress from scratch taught us valuable technical and business skills, including deploying LLMs effectively and leveraging LinkedIn Jobs integration to offer practical, actionable career advice.

What's next for AImpress

We aim to gather extensive feedback from users, peers, and potential investors. This feedback will help us refine AImpress further, enhancing usability, expanding features, and transforming the platform into a successful, scalable business.
