Inspiration
Many creators, small businesses, and student teams have good products but do not have enough time or experience to do marketing every day. We wanted to build an AI tool that can act like a small marketing team and help users find potential customers, understand them, and start conversations in a more personalized way.
What it does
AIMO is an AI CMO that helps users manage multiple social or marketing accounts in one place. It can search for potential users, analyze their interests, generate personalized outreach messages, and support both automatic and manual review modes so the user still has control.
How we built it
We built AIMO with a web frontend and a backend agent system. The backend uses AI agents to handle tasks such as user discovery, message generation, conversation tracking, and account activity management. The frontend shows each account as a small character, so users can easily see what each AI operator is doing.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge was designing the system so the AI feels helpful but not too aggressive or spam-like. Another challenge was deciding how much control the user should have over the AI, especially when the AI is sending or suggesting messages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that AIMO turns marketing work into a clear and visual workflow. Instead of only giving users text suggestions, it shows what each AI account is doing and lets users switch between AI automation and human review.
What we learned
We learned that building an AI agent product is not only about making the AI smart. It is also important to design trust, safety, user control, and a clear user experience.
What's next for AIMO
Next, we want to improve the quality of user targeting, add better analytics, and support more platforms. We also want to make the AI’s behavior more transparent so users can understand why it chooses certain people or messages.
