AIgue - Meeting Transcription & Summarization

Inspiration

We’ve all been there. Sitting through a long meeting, trying to keep up with everything being said, only to walk out more confused than when we walked in. The important stuff gets lost. No one’s quite sure who’s responsible for what. And by next week, we’re having the same conversation all over again.

It’s not just frustrating. It slows things down and wears people out, especially in hybrid and remote teams where clear communication matters even more. We kept running into this problem, hearing it from teammates, friends, and professionals across industries. That’s what led us to create AIgue a smarter way to handle meetings.

At its core, AIgue helps people stop worrying about what they missed and start focusing on what really matters. It captures the conversation, pulls out the key points, shows who said what, and keeps everything in one place. When meetings are clear, teams move forward with confidence.

Our goal is simple. Help people focus on ideas instead of note-taking. Because meetings should lead to progress, not confusion.

What it does

Smart Summarization: Automatically extracts executive summaries, key discussion points, and action items.
All-in-One Meeting Management: Every meeting is recorded, summarized, and stored in one centralized platform. You no longer need multiple tools.
Document Export: Download meeting content in .pdf, .docx, or .txt formats for easy sharing and archiving.

How we built it

Bringing AIgue to life required stitching together several complex technologies in harmony:

We built the frontend using Boltnew, chosen for its agility and UI flexibility.
Our backend is powered by Supabase, enabling secure and scalable data handling.
The AI engine is a blend of:
- ElevenLabs for high-accuracy transcription
- Gemini for content summarization and analysis

For monetization, we integrated RevenueCat and Stripe to support a scalable subscription model from small teams to full enterprises.

Every component was chosen with intention. We didn’t just want a tool that works, We wanted something that feels like magic when used.

Challenges we ran into

Building an all-in-one smart meeting tool came with its fair share of challenges:

Accuracy vs. Trust: Users need to believe in what the AI gives them. We had to focus not just on getting the transcription right, but also on building transparency. That meant showing confidence scores and giving users the ability to review and make corrections
Language and Accent Diversity: Supporting different languages and a wide range of accents was tough but essential. Not every meeting happens in perfect English, and we wanted to create a tool that feels inclusive for everyone.
Information Overload: Summarizing isn’t just about shortening content. It's about keeping the meaning intact. Teaching AI to tell the difference between casual chatter and meaningful insights was a challenge we had to keep working through.

Each of these challenges taught us something new. We listened to real users, improved the output again and again, and step by step, AIgue became more than just functional. It became something people could count on.

What we learned

We learned that meetings are deeply human.

They’re messy, passionate, political, and often ambiguous. Capturing their essence with AI is more than just natural language processing; it’s about empathy and intention.

We discovered how AI can become a true assistant, not just a tool, by listening, learning, and adapting. And most of all, we learned that the right technology doesn’t replace people, it empowers them.
