A NEAR Social Experiment; Aight is an AI NFT project that allows you to bid on the next NFT that is created with your prompt.

What it is

Aight takes the highest bid's prompt every epoch and turns it into an AI-generated NFT. Royalties are split between us, the prompter, and the NFT holders equally (2% each).

  1. Log into your NEAR wallet.
  2. Add a prompt and bid amount.
  3. Confirm the NEAR transaction.
  4. Every epoch, we will take the highest bid, run it through an AI art generator, turn it into an NFT, and send it your way!
  • Please note we are currently in testnet beta! We plan to iron out any bugs, improve the UI/UX, automate everything a bit more, and then go live! *

Inspiration

Our team has been working tirelessly on our main project over the past 9 months and morale is getting a bit low, so I thought we should step back and make a fun small project that we can all get behind :D

Also, the hours of playing around with the early AI art generation tools, and realizing some of them are too funny not to share with the world.

How we built it

Mintbase repos, MidJourney via Discord (currently), KeystoneJS, NextJS.

Challenges we ran into

Automating the NFT generation via Discord. This is still an ongoing problem which we aim to fix before we go to mainnet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a fun side project in a few weeks! This was a big change of pace for us, and got our creative juices flowing once again.

What we learned

Practical applications for NFTs on NEAR (this will be handy for our future plans).

What's next for Aight.io

Currently, we are semi-automated on testnet. After we finalised fully automating everything, and iron out any bugs, we will launch on mainnet.

A few potential features:

  • Liking other people's prompts to boost them higher in the list.
  • Creating a book of the first 100 NFTs generated.
