AidLink streamlines the rescue process for first-responders and civilians by providing locations and health metrics of those in areas affected by a natural disaster.
Inspiration: personal experience with natural disasters and knowledge of its high death toll
What it does: AidLink tracks users and their health metrics in areas hit by a crisis and communicates their location to paramedics who can use the data to save lives
How we built it: We used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to style our website and transition between pages
Challenges we ran into: We had difficulty in organizing our pages together after working on them separately
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are proud of the user and paramedic maps which show the different locations of users, hospitals, and the affected area
What we learned: We learned how to cooperate together as a team, effective collaboration using GitHub, data collection, and integration across multiple program parts
What's next for AidLink: We plan on improving the UI for the map, making it more accessible by creating an app or app version, and adding a family/friends feature for users
