Inspiration
Undertaking a project to develop a unified portal for model curriculum in AICTE approved institutes is motivated by a profound commitment to advancing education. The inspiration behind such an endeavor lies in the belief that access to high-quality, standardized education should not be limited by geography or resources. It is about fostering inclusivity and excellence, ensuring that students across the nation receive a consistent and robust educational foundation. This project is driven by the desire to empower both educators and learners, providing them with the tools and resources to thrive in an ever-evolving world. It is an opportunity to shape the future of education, promote innovation, and enhance the employability of graduates, ultimately contributing to the socioeconomic development of the nation.
What it does
i. Users can easily scroll through their favorite courses. ii. Users will get the syllabus of their required courses along with the books to follow. iii. Users will be provided a uniform exam pattern and previous year questions. iv. Users will know the holiday list for the calendar year. v. Teachers can add courses along with the materials required for that course.
How we built it
a. We’re looking for a solution by creating an Android and web-based application that serves as a platform for users to find courses both Undergraduate and Post-Graduate. b. Providing the details of all UG and PG courses syllabus curriculum and other courses to the users by teachers c. Providing students the materials required for a particular course as uploaded by the teachers on that course. d. Teachers will be able to add courses, update or delete courses, and also add the desired materials for that course using backend concepts like Servlet and store it in the MySQL database. e. Students/Teachers' details will be stored in a table through database connectivity. f. During login the credentials will be checked from the database and a message will be shown if the wrong value is entered with the concepts of JSTL.
Challenges we ran into
a. An 8GB RAM laptop is required for the smooth functioning of Android Studio. b. A suitable network connection is required to run the website and the app c. An AI-powered chatbot- chatbase. co is required to be used for any doubt clearance of uses. d. Proper knowledge of using Maven Projects along with its repositories. e. Knowledge about query selection to fetch data in and from the database. f. Proper implementation of a local server such as Tomcat. g. Concepts of JSP along with its JSTL tags.
