We were inspired to take this project up in order to help AICTE overcome the hurdles of managing meetings manually.

We have created a portal where organizing Bureau/cell will initiate the event by deciding on the following points:

• List of various committees (including members) • List of involved Bureaus or cells • Role and responsibilities of all concerned members and committees. Required features in the portal would be as follows • Booking of meeting room/auditorium • Communication to all the bureaus/members regarding meetings through email and SMS alerts • A separate interface to intimate canteen for refreshment/Lunch/dinner arrangements • An interface of this system to update the information on AICTE social media like Facebook & Twitter page. • Report Generation • Activity Log • Dashboard

We built it using the following tech stacks:

Frontend : React Backend : NodeJs, Python Database : MongoDB

We ran into a few challenges including, but not limited to:

Deciding upon which framework to implement, given the exhaustive usefullness of all frameworks. Examples include: Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap 5. We overcame this by internal discussions and efficiency tests.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have been working on a team with all possible solutions to the given problem through brainstorming sessions.

What we learned

We learned how to use newer technologies and databases like MongoDB. We also gained knowledge on UI/UX designs using software like Figma.

What's next for SW-I03

Our plans include increasing the efficiency of our project and also scaling it up with additional features that could improve the overall user experience by approximately 25% of what the user can experience on our webpage at present.
