Inspiration

Executive and career coaching is typically gatekept behind thousands of dollars, making it inaccessible to junior developers, career switchers, and first-time managers. We built AI Coach to democratize access to elite mentorship—empowering anyone to practice high-stakes workplace conversations, navigate career plateaus, and receive actionable guidance right when it matters most.

What it does

• Custom AI Coach Studio: Design specialized AI mentors tailored by domain (management, salary negotiation, productivity, public speaking) and coaching personality.
• Deep Context Engine: Personalize guidance by feeding your core values, role, current challenges, and goals directly into the coaching memory.
• Real-Time Interactive Roleplay: Practice tough conversations—such as setting boundaries with leadership, asking for a raise, or delivering critical feedback—before the stakes are real.
• Coach Marketplace & Sharing: Discover community-created coaches or share your own mentors with a single link.
• RevenueCat Monetization: Pro ($25/mo) and Premium ($35/mo) auto-renewing subscriptions alongside on-demand Chat & Creation credit packs ($15 for 10 credits, $40 for 25 credits).

How we built it

• Frontend: Flutter / Dart with Material 3 styling, adaptive search filters, and real-time chat bubbles with haptic feedback.
• In-App Purchases: RevenueCat Flutter SDK (purchases_flutter) managing user attribution, tier verification, and credit top-ups.
• Backend API: Python service hosted on Microsoft Azure Web Apps (aico-dwd4bddyggaygrgg.eastus-01.azurewebsites.net).
• LLM Engine: Gemini 3 Flash conversational pipelines combined with dynamic system prompting injected from personal context.

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring coaches didn't sound like generic corporate chatbots. We solved this by creating a structured Personal Context Engine that maps the user's specific workplace scenarios, past communication hurdles, and personal values into every simulation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Complete coach creation, publication, and sharing pipeline running natively on mobile.
• Instant, context-aware roleplay responses with zero latency over our Azure backend.
• Dual RevenueCat monetization system handling both recurring subscriptions and one-time consumable credits without desyncs.

What we learned

Practicing tough conversations in a safe, simulated environment dramatically builds emotional confidence. People don't just want advice—they want a low-stakes rehearsal.

What's next for AI Coach

• Voice-to-voice simulation mode for live verbal practice.
