AiCademy

A paragraph that briefly describes your project.

AiCademy is an EdTech system capable of generating an unlimited amount of personalized practice for every subject. AiCademy consists of two novel components: AI-generated questions and a recommendation system based on the answers provided by the students. By reaching students internationally through the founders’ international educational charity, AiCademy aims to eventually provide widespread personalized education in developing regions through artificial intelligence.

A brief paragraph on your thought process.

This spring break, we organized a “Zero to Hero” AI Workshop in Indonesia through our international educational charity approved by the Ministry of Education of Indonesia. During this workshop, we noticed that many students were forced to stop attending school after the mandatory ninth grade because of the severe lack of public school teachers and their need to support their families by working. So, AiCademy hopes to provide anyone, anywhere access to personalized education in any subject. Even students without access to teachers should be able to learn at their own pace through AiCademy.

A brief paragraph on your challenges and success.

At the beginning of the hackathon, it was difficult to imagine the needs of students in developing regions. So, we communicated with students in Indonesia through our previous local charity partners. Through this process, we discovered the need for personalized practice and created AiCademy based on the feedback of the students. During the development process, we faced technical challenges in implementing our original ideas. To overcome these challenges, we collectively studied new technologies such as Flask, SQLAlchemy, and jQuery throughout the hackathon. Learning through this project was a suitable way to end our secondary school experiences.
