Inspiration
Our Journey Over the last 6 months, we have been building a developer tool for building end-to-end voice AI agents. Whether that’s automizing phone calls or making the next generation of smart appliances we believe that voice deserves a stand-alone operating system. Our goal for this hackathon was to build an iOS app that could showcase what could be built using our VoiceOS.
BearPhone Problem Statement Running a small business requires juggling countless tasks, from managing appointments to handling customer inquiries and maintaining efficient communication. With BearPhone, you can streamline these tasks and enhance productivity, all from the convenience of your iPhone.
What it does
We built an iOS app with a voice AI agent that answers every missed call and interacts with the caller on behalf of the user. The AI agent notifies the user with realtime conversation updates and empowers the user to take back control over their calls.
How we built it
- iOS app was built in Swift UI
- Realtime notification with Firebase
- Voice Agent Orchestration with AWS
- Language Model used Anthropic Claude 3
Challenges & accomplishments
- Setting up real-time agent notifications with iOS
- Making a dynamic background noise reduction to minimize hallucinations
- Managing sub-second voice interruptions
What's next
We believe voice is the future of human-to-computer interactions and made it our mission to build a voice operating system that empowers developers to build the next generation of voice-enabled products.
