Inspiration

Online shoppers often rely on images to discover products, but evaluating whether a product is worth buying still requires searching through multiple websites, reviews, and comparisons. We wanted to simplify this process by building an AI system that can analyze a product directly from an image and generate useful insights instantly.

What it does

AI Visual Product Reviewer allows users to upload an image of a product such as shoes, clothing, or accessories. The system analyzes the image and generates helpful insights including a product summary, review highlights, and alternative suggestions to help users make better buying decisions.

How we built it

We built the frontend using React and CSS to create an interactive interface where users can upload product images. The backend processes the image and sends it to Amazon Bedrock, where Amazon Nova Pro performs multimodal analysis to understand the product and generate intelligent insights.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was designing a workflow that effectively combines visual understanding with contextual reasoning. Ensuring that the AI could analyze images and generate meaningful insights required experimenting with prompts and structuring responses to produce useful recommendations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a working multimodal AI system that can analyze product images and generate practical insights for users. The project demonstrates how visual AI can simplify product discovery and decision-making in real-world scenarios.
