Ai-vision

Inspiration

This project was inspired from millions of people who suffer blindness or eye related issues and are not able to see the world properly, Also every person who suffer eye related issues ( temporary/permanent) can get a medical treatment or devices , so there is where we come - every person now at least has a smartphone where our model will help them. A personal inspiration for me to develop this project was a real life incident where a shop keeper was handing over a wrong note to a blind person purposefully. So we are going to create a solution for these types of problems through a.i vision.

What it does

1. a.i vision is a will act like a guide to anyone suffering from temporary or permanent blindness
2. it allows user to capture images of things like sign boards, restaurants menus, currency notes the ai model will recognise it and converts into text
3. and this text will be converted into an audio and will be readout loud to the users so they can get to know what they are seeing.
4. for now we have used sign and street boards for recognition purpose , for this hackathon which make it take less time and also helpful for people ## How we built it We built this app using HTML, CSS, and Javascript for the front and used Django in the backend and SQLite as the database. We leveraged AI ## Challenges we ran into My team members ghosted me , so I couldn't really develop a fully scalable product as I thought and tried to do all things by myself with whatever possible. The most difficult part was where we had to convert the image context into text

Proud to have completed a fully-fledged application in a relatively short duration of time

What we learned

We learned some new soft skills in time management, and also some technical skills in databases, backend development, and a lot about A.I Image recognition

What's next for Ai-vision

There is a lot for a.i vision to develop I want to make it a fully functionable app to the reach the general public and also want to work with some experts in the feild to train an ai model to recognise wide variet of images related to currency etc and also develop fast image recognition tool . which also has a potent to develop into a ar mapping software using computer vision and a.i and I think* a.i winter hackathon and assembly a.i* would largely play a role in this development
