What inspired us
Livestock farmers often face difficulty identifying diseases early and accessing veterinarians, especially in rural areas. We were inspired by the idea of creating an AI-powered veterinary assistant that could provide quick, simple, and accessible livestock health guidance.
How we built it
We developed AI Vet Livestock Pro as a farmer-friendly application where users can describe animal symptoms and receive AI-assisted information about possible health problems, preventive measures, and when to seek professional veterinary care. We focused on simple language, easy navigation, and responsible AI use.
What we learned
We learned that AI must be accurate, understandable, and safe, particularly in veterinary applications. We also learned how to transform complex veterinary knowledge into practical information for farmers.
Challenges
Our main challenges were overlapping disease symptoms, avoiding unsafe treatment advice, simplifying technical information, and designing for farmers with different levels of digital literacy.
Our vision is to make reliable veterinary support more accessible and help farmers maintain healthier animals, safer food, and more sustainable farms.
