Project: AI Tuition Ranker
Inspiration
With the rise of AI, gathering and analyzing data has become more efficient. However, finding accurate and comparable information on tuition fees across U.S. universities remains a challenge for students using traditional search engines. Our project aims to solve this problem by providing an easy-to-use platform that ranks the cheapest universities with precise, up-to-date data.
What It Does
AI Tuition Ranker offers a comprehensive list of the most affordable U.S. universities. It fetches data via APIs and displays the rankings in a user-friendly interface, helping students make informed decisions about their education costs.
How We Built It
The project utilizes API integrations to gather real-time data, which is then parsed and rendered on the front end using responsive design principles. We focused on seamless collaboration between backend data processing and front-end visualization.
Challenges We Faced
Handling real-time data rendering and parsing it accurately were significant challenges. Ensuring that the information is displayed correctly and clearly for the users required careful planning and testing.
Accomplishments
We are proud of creating a responsive and stylish user interface that enhances user experience. The application offers a seamless and interactive design that makes comparing tuition fees simple and intuitive.
Lessons Learned
Through this project, we learned valuable lessons in coordinating between backend and frontend development teams. We also gained experience in setting micro-goals to keep the project on track and deliver a polished final product.
What’s Next for AI Tuition Ranker
We plan to add more customizable filters for students, such as program-specific tuition fees. Additionally, if we obtain access to satisfaction data, we could expand the ranking to include student satisfaction and overall university experience.
