Inspiration

Winter folklore meets thrash-metal absurdity — rural sunsets, horned masks, zombie-sheep and black humor mashed into a frostbitten, over-the-top visual fable.

What it does

Generates a short, high-impact thrash-metal music video (and intro/title card) that pairs brutal riffs with surreal snowy visuals to shock, amuse, and stick in the jury’s head.

How we built it

Prompt-engineered AI visual generators, layered with manual editing, color-grading and tempo-synced cuts in a standard NLE to create a cohesive sequence.

Challenges we ran into

Keeping visual style consistent across different AI outputs, syncing chaotic edits to the music, removing unwanted religious connotations while keeping ritualistic aesthetics, and fixing AI rendering artifacts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A single, unforgettable visual identity: the “Snow Sect of Bloody Horror” title card, punchy scene transitions, perfectly timed riffs vs. visuals, and a darkly comic tone that flips pastoral expectations.

What we learned

Precise prompts + iterative tweaks = big stylistic wins. Color grading and sound sync make AI outputs feel handcrafted. Less is more: a few strong motifs carry the whole piece.

What's next for Snow Sect of Bloody Horror

Polish a festival cut, make vertical/social edits, release alternate mixes and an interactive AR intro, and expand into a short anthology of AI-driven metal vignettes.
