Finding the right AI tool for any task is overwhelming. We wanted a single, smart search that instantly surfaces the best AI tools—no more endless blog lists or outdated directories.

What it does

AI Tools Scout lets you describe what you want to accomplish, then uses Tavily’s advanced search to deliver the most relevant, up-to-date AI tools with descriptions, pricing, and direct links.

How we built it

  • Frontend: React + Vite + Tailwind CSS for a fast, modern UI.
  • Backend: All search and tool discovery is powered by the Tavily API, with prompt engineering and strict filtering for quality.
  • UX: Emoji-rich, friendly error handling and curated demo queries for a delightful experience.

Challenges we ran into

  • Ensuring only real, actionable AI tools (not blogs or listicles) appear in results.
  • Handling unrelated or obscure queries gracefully without showing misleading fallback tools.
  • Making Tavily’s results both accurate and user-friendly.
