Inspiration

Students have access to thousands of AI tools, but finding the right tool for a specific school task can be difficult and time-consuming. I wanted to create one simple place where students could discover useful AI tools without having to search across many different websites.

What I built

I built AI Tools Hub Pro, a student-focused AI tool discovery platform with a large directory of AI tools. Students can search tools, explore categories, save favorites, and use Student Finder to describe a task and discover relevant tools for studying, homework, research, writing, coding, notes, PDFs, maths/data, presentations, and creative work.

How I built it

I built the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with structured JSON data for the AI tool directory. Firebase is used for the project's supporting features. I also created a student-focused matching system that works with the existing tool directory to suggest relevant tools.

What I learned

While building the project, I learned more about organizing a large tool directory, creating a useful search and discovery experience, designing a student-focused interface, and testing features across different devices.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was making hundreds of AI tools easy to discover without overwhelming students. I addressed this by organizing tools into categories and adding Student Finder so users can start with their task instead of knowing the name of a specific AI tool.
