Inspiration

The Tiny Desk AI trend puts an unexpected cast into a recognizable concert scene. I wanted to make the process approachable for a creator with one photo, while keeping the practical steps—waiting, payment status and complete downloads—visible. This is an independent creative tool, not an NPR product.

What it does

A consenting adult photo becomes the lead performer in an approximately 19-second vertical concert. A fixed fictional band provides the supporting cast. A separately labeled experimental saxophone option costs an additional credit. The site provides a complete result and sound/silent downloads, with clear cautions about identity drift and music rights.

How it was built

Cloudflare Workers serves the application, account and payment flows. The Tiny Desk workflow uses Seedance 2.0 Mini through EvoLink for selected shots, then assembles the full sequence rather than leaving customers with model fragments. Google and email login, one-time credit packs, PayPal and Waffo complete the purchase flow. The separate open-source Creator Kit contains an offline crop/resize extension and a Vim cue-sheet helper; it does not expose production credentials or customer media.

Challenges

The opening and close-up must show the same lead. Changing several background people proved less stable. We kept the most tested lead workflow and limited optional changes rather than advertising unrestricted multi-person replacement. Another important check was the very beginning of the soundtrack: a valid video file did not by itself prove that every shot had sound.

What I learned

Review the final assembled video, not only each provider output. Check identity at every cut and listen from the first frame through the ending. Product copy, credit costs and delivered files need to describe the same workflow.

Next steps

Collect quality feedback from complete results, improve clearly labeled optional character controls, and make input preparation easier without uploading photos to an unnecessary third party.
