1) Inspiration

Students often need additional academic support when teachers or resources are not immediately available. I wanted to build a simple AI-powered learning companion that could provide personalized assistance whenever students need it.

This project aligns with UN SDG 4: Quality Education by exploring how AI can make learning support more accessible.

2) What I Built

I built an AI Teaching Assistant that helps students understand concepts, ask questions, summarize learning content, and practice through interactive learning support.

The goal is to complement traditional learning, not replace teachers.

3) How I Built It

I developed the application using an AI API and a web-based interface. I integrated the AI functionality, designed the user interaction, tested the application, and worked through deployment and debugging challenges.

4)What I Learned

I learned how to integrate AI into a practical educational application, handle AI-generated responses, design a simple user experience, and debug real deployment issues.

5)Challenges

The main challenge was making the AI functionality reliable while keeping the application simple and easy to use. API integration, testing, and deployment required several rounds of debugging.

5)Impact

The project explores how AI can provide accessible, personalized learning support and contribute to Quality Education (SDG 4).
