Inspiration
Many students and job seekers prepare for interviews alone without direct guidance. We wanted to build a lean, mobile-friendly platform that mimics a real technical interviewer, offering personalized feedback anytime, anywhere without heavy application resource overhead.
What it does
AI TalentCoach allows users to input their target job role and paste their resume text. It leverages generative AI to dynamically create 3 tough technical interview questions. Users can then submit their answers to receive a comprehensive review, performance score, gap analysis, and sample model answers.
How we built it
The web application is engineered entirely using Python, utilizing Gradio for a responsive interface and the Google Gemini API (gemini-1.5-flash) for real-time natural language evaluation and prompt engineering.
Challenges we faced
Structuring the asynchronous evaluation prompt so it precisely tracks custom answers without breaking constraints on mobile viewports was an iterative design challenge.
What we learned
We mastered single-file rapid prototyping patterns and optimized prompt context models to ensure efficient execution within tight deadlines.
