Inspiration

Many students struggle to get hired not because they lack ability, but because they lack real-world experience and opportunities to prove their skills. At the same time, companies face difficulty identifying truly capable candidates through resumes alone. This gap between talent and opportunity inspired us to build an AI-powered solution.

What it does

Our platform connects students and companies through real-world tasks and AI-driven evaluation.

Students can:

  • Learn relevant skills through guided tasks
  • Complete company-issued challenges
  • Build a portfolio based on real work

Companies can:

  • Publish tasks based on actual job requirements
  • Evaluate candidates using AI insights
  • Identify top talent based on performance, not just resumes

How we built it

We built the platform using a full-stack web architecture:

  • Frontend: Interactive dashboard for students and companies
  • Backend: API server handling tasks, users, and evaluations
  • Database: Stores user profiles, tasks, and performance data
  • AI integration: Evaluates student performance based on task completion, resume, and learning progress

We designed two main systems:

  1. Student system (learning + task completion + AI feedback)
  2. Company system (task publishing + candidate evaluation + hiring decision)

Challenges we ran into

  • Synchronizing data between student and company dashboards
  • Designing a fair and meaningful AI evaluation system
  • Avoiding overly complex UI while keeping functionality powerful
  • Ensuring tasks reflect real industry needs instead of generic exercises

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Built a working prototype connecting students and companies
  • Implemented AI-based candidate evaluation logic
  • Designed a system where hiring is based on real performance
  • Created a structured flow from learning → task → evaluation → hiring

What we learned

  • Real-world problems require both technical and product thinking
  • AI is powerful, but needs meaningful data to be useful
  • User experience is just as important as functionality
  • Bridging education and industry requires more than just content—it needs interaction

What's next for AI talent bridge

  • Improve AI evaluation accuracy using more data
  • Add more companies and real industry tasks
  • Introduce interview simulation and feedback
  • Enable real hiring integration with companies
  • Expand into a full AI-driven talent ecosystem
