Inspiration
When I was thinking of what project to make for this competition, the idea came to me fairly quickly. When I thought of what comes with the idea of 'education', the first thing that came to me was studying. My own study habits aren't the best, and so I thought: "How could I improve this with AI"? And that's when I got the idea to make a companion smartwatch that helps you with your studying journey.
What it does
AISA is an studying companion that will eventually be made to do all sorts of things to help students study from helping them with problems to recommending study habits. At the moment, it can provide study tips and help students take a break from their work.
How we built it
Using Thinkland.ai's scratch editor, I put together simple scratch code, audio from ElevenLabs, and my ideas together to create this project.
Challenges we ran into
I originally tried to use a couple different AI in Scratch tools, but there was always something wrong or a glitch that prevented me from using it/them. Eventually, I had to resort to using basic Scratch in the Thinkland editor to create an AI project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It took me a lot of failures and restarts to complete this project, so in the end I'm really just proud that I could complete it and submit it. It turned out pretty well I would say!
What we learned
I learned that it's better to start early in competitions like these, because they can take time and you'll never know what problems you will end up facing. It's better to have more time than to be rushing at the last minute.
What's next for AISA (Artificially Intelligent Study Assistant)
AISA still has a lot more potential. Once we can truly incorporate AI, it will be able to help with any study problem you could possibly have. Additionally, AISA will be made to help create schedules based off a students personal needs. It will be able to calculate how much sleep you need, and come out with the best daily routine for you.
