Students often struggle to create a proper study routine. They may have multiple subjects, assignments, exams, and limited time, but they don't always know how to organize everything effectively.
We wanted to build a simple tool that uses AI to turn a student's goals, subjects, available study time, and deadlines into a personalized study plan.
Our goal was to make studying more organized, practical, and less stressful.
What it does AI Study Planner helps students create personalized study plans based on their needs.
Users can provide information such as:
Subjects they need to study
Upcoming exams or deadlines
Available study time
Study goals
Preferred schedule
The application then generates a structured study plan that helps users understand what to study and when to study it.
The goal is to give students a clear daily routine instead of leaving them wondering where to start.
How we built it We built AI Study Planner as a web application using modern web technologies and AI-assisted development.
The project was developed with:
HTML for the structure
CSS for the user interface and styling
JavaScript for interactive functionality
AI tools to assist with planning, coding, debugging, and improving features
GitHub for managing and storing the project code
We focused on keeping the interface simple and easy to understand so that students can start using the planner without a complicated setup.
Challenges we ran into One of our biggest challenges was turning a student's general study goals into a useful and realistic study schedule.
Another challenge was making the application simple enough for beginners while still providing useful AI-powered functionality.
We also had to learn how to work with AI-assisted coding tools effectively, understand the generated code, find bugs, and modify the code according to our requirements.
Since this project was built with AI assistance, understanding and reviewing the generated code was an important part of the development process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud that we were able to turn a simple idea into a working AI-powered study planning application.
Some things we are especially proud of:
Creating a functional web application
Integrating AI into a practical student-focused use case
Designing a simple and accessible interface
Learning how to use AI as a development assistant
Turning an idea into a working prototype in a short amount of time
Most importantly, this project helped us understand that AI can be used not only to generate code, but also to help plan, debug, and improve a real project.
What we learned While building AI Study Planner, we learned how to approach software development using AI-assisted coding.
We learned about:
Building a web application from scratch
Writing and understanding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Using AI to generate and improve code
Debugging problems with the help of AI
Organizing a project into smaller features
Using GitHub to manage project code
Turning a real-world problem into a software solution
We also learned that AI-generated code should always be reviewed, tested, and modified rather than blindly copied.
What's next for AI Study Planner We want to continue improving AI Study Planner and make it more useful for students.
Future improvements could include:
Personalized daily study recommendations
Progress tracking
Exam countdowns and reminders
Automatic adjustment of study plans when a student misses a session
AI-powered study tips
Subject difficulty analysis
Pomodoro/focus timer
Calendar integration
Mobile-friendly improvements
Personalized learning recommendations
Our long-term goal is to make AI Study Planner a complete personal study assistant that helps students plan, learn, and stay consistent.
