Inspiration

Many students struggle with maintaining consistent study habits and retaining key concepts when reviewing alone. We wanted to build an accessible, voice-driven AI companion that turns passive reading into active, engaging learning sessions.

What it does

AI Study Companion for Students is an intelligent voice and chat assistant designed to help students learn effectively.

• Interactive Quizzes: Generates quick active-recall questions based on study materials.
• Smart Flashcards: Prompts key terms and concepts for fast revision.
• Summary Generator: Condenses long notes and lessons into bite-sized summaries.

How we built it

We developed the prototype using Python and Google Colab, integrating lightweight NLP and AI models to process study texts and convert them into interactive Q&A prompts.

Structuring prompt formats for clear active-recall questioning and ensuring the output remains lightweight and fast enough for instant feedback.
