💡 Inspiration

As a working professional passionate about AI, I struggled to find the time to stay updated with cutting-edge research. Reading lengthy AI papers or watching detailed YouTube videos wasn't feasible with my busy schedule. I needed a quick, convenient way to consume the latest AI advancements without disrupting my daily routine.

🔍 What It Does

AI Snax transforms complex AI research papers into concise, engaging 2–3 minute audio podcasts.
Instead of mindless scrolling on Instagram or YouTube Shorts, you get high-quality, actionable insights about the latest AI developments.
Perfect for multitasking—whether you're jogging, commuting, or working out.

⚙️ How I Built It

Using Bolt.new, I quickly prototyped a responsive web application integrated seamlessly with ElevenLabs for generating natural-sounding audio podcasts from simplified summaries of research papers.
Netlify ensured quick deployment, domain management, and scalability, allowing me to focus purely on content and UX.

🧱 Challenges I Ran Into

One key challenge was effectively summarizing dense academic papers into compelling, concise narratives.
I iterated on various summarization prompts and podcast scripts to strike the perfect balance between depth and brevity.

🏆 Accomplishments That I’m Proud Of

Creating a genuinely useful tool for busy professionals and researchers in record time.
The intuitive UI combined with clear, engaging audio summaries received excellent feedback from initial users, validating the concept quickly.

🧠 What I Learnt

I improved my skills in rapid prototyping with Bolt, integrating AI APIs (ElevenLabs), and deploying scalable web apps quickly.
I also learned how essential UX simplicity is for apps designed for short, high-value interactions.

🚀 What's Next for AI Snax

• Toggleable Video Mode: Users will be able to choose between audio-only or AI-generated video podcasts for a more immersive experience.
  
• AI-Generated Video Content: Video podcasts will be pre-generated using generative AI tools, maintaining consistency and quality.
  
• Full Automation: The entire podcast creation pipeline—from arXiv paper to final audio or video—will become fully automated. Currently, there’s a human-in-the-loop for summarization and script refinement.
