Inspiration
Students often struggle to understand lengthy study materials and find specific answers in PDF documents. We wanted to make learning easier by creating a platform where students can interact with their study materials and get help from AI.
What it does
AI Smart Tutor is an AI-powered learning platform that allows students to upload PDF documents and ask questions about their content. It helps students understand their study materials by providing relevant, easy-to-understand answers.
How we built it
We built a web-based application with a user-friendly interface, PDF upload functionality, and AI integration to answer questions based on uploaded study materials. The project combines frontend development, backend processing, and AI-powered question answering.
Challenges we faced
One of the main challenges was integrating AI services with the application and managing API keys securely. We also worked on connecting PDF uploads with the question-answering functionality and making the application easy to use.
What we learned
We learned how frontend and backend components work together, how to integrate AI APIs into a web application, and why secure API key management is important.
What's next
We aim to improve answer accuracy, enhance the learning experience, and add features such as summarization, personalized learning assistance, and support for more document formats.
